Crown Court For Siddiqi Murder Accused

Two men charged with the murder of 17-year-old Aamir Siddiqi have appeared in court this morning.

The men appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court and have been remanded in custody.

Ben Hope, 36, and Jason Richards, 35, are accused of killing Aamirr Saddiqi and attempting to murder his parents at their home in Roath, Cardiff on 11 April.

Jason Richards and Ben Hope did not enter a plea and no application for bail was made.Both were remanded to appear before Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday April 21.

The 17-year-old victim was attacked after opening the door to two masked men on Sunday afternoon.

His parents, aged 55 and 68, received serious stab wounds when they were attacked themselves as they came to their son's aid.

Aamir died of stab wounds while his father Iqbal, 68, and his mother Parveen, 55, were also injured in the incident.

A third man, aged 39, who was arrested in connection with the attack, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Pair face sentencing for Thailand murder
Two Thai fishermen are awaiting sentence for the rape and murder of British tourist Katherine Horton. Bualoi Posit, 23 and Wichai Somkhaoyai, 24, pleaded guilty to the charges against them at the court in Surat Thani in southern Thailand. The case has now been adjourned until Wednesday, when the men will face sentencing.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Faversham at the weekend. Kent Police confirmed Lincoln Payne, of no fixed abode, had been charged with robbery, theft and two counts of attempted murder following an incident in Fostall Avenue on Saturday, 30 May.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder Over Child Stabbings
A man has been charged after two children were injured during a stabbing attack in Hampshire. The incident happened at the junction of Southleigh Road and Eastleigh Road just before 3pm on 26 June. Two boys, aged 12 and 13-years-old remain at Southampton General Hospital. Their condition is described as being serious but stable.

Man Charged With Murder Following Hotel Death
A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man at a hotel in Cumbria. Police were called at approximately 3am after Terry Taylor, 59, was found injured at the Globe Hotel in Cockermouth on 31 May. The victim was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
