Concern Over Missing Wedding Guest

Durham Police are appealing for information about a 26-year-old man from Witton Gilbert, who has not been seen since leaving a wedding reception on Saturday night. Stephen Burn had been at the evening reception in Durham Rowing Club in the city's Green Lane, but police said that sometime around 11:15 - 11:30pm, he had a disagreement with his girlfriend and left the venue. His family and friends alerted police on Sunday afternoon when he failed to return home or contact anyone. Stephen is described as slim, 6ft 2ins tall with ginger hair. When last seen, he was wearing a dark blue shirt, black trousers and black dress shows. He works for a roller door company which has a head office in Stoke, but has contracts across the UK, including the north east. PC Kim Kitching said: "He is a keen Sunderland fan, but did not turn up for their game on Sunday against Manchester City, which all his friends and family say is completely out of character. They are obviously extremely concerned for his welfare and we are hoping if Stephen hears or sees this appeal he will contact someone as soon as possible."
