PM Defends Response Over Libya

The Prime Minister has responded to strong criticism in the commons over the government's response to the Libyan crisis.

David Cameron stood by claims that Britain led the way in getting a UN resolution on Libya.

He said he would not take any lectures from Labour and described William Hague as an "excellent foreign secretary".

However Labour Leader Ed Miliband said a failed SAS mission along with the "flights fiasco", comments by William Hague questioned government "competence".

It has been reported that over 1,000 people have died in Libya in the last three weeks.
