In the UK, the deluxe edition of her most recent album along with the Back to Black/Frank double album were all in the top 10 bestsellers midweek.

The jazz singer has seven individual tracks in the top 40 of the official midweek singles chart.

Her song Back To Black is the highest placed of those, with Rehab, Tears Dry On Their Own and Love Is A Losing Game all in the top 30.

Large and small bands throughout the country have been performing covers of her songs in tribute to Amy's untimely death. During a concert last night Mark Ronson performed a number of her songs at a show in London.

The British producer and songwriter, who produced her most successful album, invited members of her backing band on stage for a version of Valerie.

"She made brilliant music, more than I'll make in my entire life," he said.
