Nicaraguan Fall Kills Belfast Teacher
There's been a second tragedy for Ulster with a well-known Gaelic footballer from west Belfast fatally injured in a fall while travelling in Nicaragua.
The tragedy happened as final preparations were being made to repatriate the bodies of two NI women murdered last week in Turkey.
The latest person to die in foreign parts was Michael McClean, 26, who was hiking up a mountain or volcano with his brother Conor during a tour of South America, when the accident happened.
Relatives have flown out on Wednesday to bring the young man's body back to Northern Ireland.
Mr McLean, from Fruithill Park, a trainee teacher and keen GAA coach, was fatally injured in Nicaragua on Sunday.
He played for west Belfast club St Agnes GAC.
Mr McLean, who recently graduated from university in Liverpool and planned to teach geography, had gone to New York to meet up with his younger brother, Conor.
The pair then travelled to Nicaragua for a walking holiday, where the accident happened.
They were on a guided walk close to a volcano when Michael fell and suffered a fatal head injury. He died moments later, with his brother was at his side.
There's another sad journey talking place today, with the bodies of Newry women Marion Graham and Kathy Dinsmore - who were murdered in Turkey - due to arrive in Ireland later.
The women, who were both in their 50s, were stabbed to death near the west coast city of Izmir last week.
Ms Graham's daughter Shannon arrived home on Monday night accompanied by her father.
Her Turkish boyfriend Recep Cetin has reportedly confessed to the double killing.

UK sees 20% increase in multiple births over 10 years
Mothers are having 20% more multiple births than they were a decade ago, according to figures released today by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). Statistics have revealed that in 2002, the multiple birth rate was 15 per 1,000 women giving birth, compared with 12.5 in 1992.

Booze and drug deaths 'triple' over 20 years
Deaths from alcohol-related causes and drug-related poisoning both tripled in young men aged 15-44 between 1979 and 2001, according to a study of mortality trends published in Health Statistics Quarterly. In young adult women, deaths from alcohol related causes also tripled, the survey found.

Malia Stabbing Victim Named
The man fatally stabbed in a fight in Malia has been named as Tyrell Matthews-Burton. It is understood that the 19-year-old was attacked when a fight broke out involving up to 30 British tourists outside a bar on the island of Crete.

Appeal After Man Fatally Stabbed In West London
A murder investigation has been launched into the death of a man in west London. Police said that 59-year-old Tony Charlery was stabbed in the neck on Portobello Road in Notting Hill, in the early hours of Saturday morning. It is believed that Mr Charlery was trying to run away from his attackers when he was stabbed. He died at the scene.

Two men have died in a road traffic collision near Wrexham. The deceased, aged 19 and 22, and from Shropshire, were travelling along the A495 Ellesmere Road, in the direction of Penley, when their car hit a tree. The incident, which involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa, happened at around 10.55pm on Thursday.
