Dead Body Found On Dual Carriageway

A dead body has been found on a busy dual carriageway in Surrey.

Motorists travelling on the northbound carriageway of the A3 near Ripley saw the body at about 7:35pm last night and alerted the emergency services.

When the body was on the carriageway it was struck by a number of vehicles but it is likely the motorists did not realise what happened and did not stop at the scene.

An investigation is underway and officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
