Worrall Thompson Cautioned For Shoplifting

Celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson has received a caution by police in connection with shoplifting.

The 60-year-old was arrested by police at a Tesco store in Oxfordshire, on Friday.

Mr Worrall Thompson, from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, was questioned and given a formal caution.

A police spokesman said the incident involved "low value goods".

A former presenter of combative cookery show Ready, Steady, Cook, Thompson has worked as a presenter and chef on a number of cookery related shows, as well as appearing in the second series of 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.

In a statement, police added: "Thames Valley Police arrested a 60-year-old man from High Wycombe following a report of shoplifting offences.

'Black Widow' guilty of killing husband
A woman dubbed the 'Black Widow' has been jailed for life for killing her husband with a curry laced with a lethal overdose of prescription drugs. Dena Thompson, 42, from Yapton in West Sussex, had denied killing her second husband, 31-year-old Julian Webb, on his birthday in June 1994.

Child Porn 'Librarian' Jailed
The "librarian" of a sickening child porn exchange has been jailed for a minimum of three years. Philip Anthony Thompson, 27, of Stockton-on-Tees, admitted running an online paedophile forum, which had amassed almost 250,000 images. Over 3,000 of the pictures were deemed grade four and five - the highest level of child abuse.

Release Of Police Killer Described As 'Sickening'
The release of a man convicted of killing three unarmed police officers in 1966 has been described as "sickening". Harry Roberts, now aged 78, has been released from prison after serving 48 years for 1966 murders of three unarmed police officers in Shepherd's Bush in west London.

Major Police Hunt Launched After Boy Taken From Hospital
A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.

'Skull Cracker' In Custody In London
Kent Police, in partnership with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, have arrested two men in East London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.
