Redknapp Cleared Of Tax Evasion

Football boss Harry Redknapp has been cleared of tax evasion today.

The Spurs manager said that his 'nightmare' is over now that a jury has said that he is not guilty of accepting a secret untaxed bonus.

Milan Mandaric, the former Chairman of the Portsmouth Football Club has also been cleared of two charges, which claimed he had been cheating public revenue.

The charges related to Mr Redknapp's and Mr Mandaric's time at Portsmouth Football Club. Mr Redknapp denied accepting bonuses from former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric during their time at the club. While Mr Mandaric denied two charges of cheating the public revenue over the £189,000 payments.

Boris Johnson's Former Aide Cleared Of 'Extreme Pornography' Charges
A barrister, and former aide to Boris Johnson, has been acquitted of possessing extreme pornography in a landmark case over the boundaries of what can be described as "extreme". The jury was unanimous and took less than 90 minutes to clear Simon Walsh, 50, who also served as a magistrate and alderman in the City of London, after a week-long trial.

Robinho Cleared Of Rape Charges
Manchester City footballer Robinho will not face any charges after serious sexual assault claims, police have said. The Brazil international, who had spoken to West Yorkshire Police over an alleged incident at the Space nightclub in Leeds, had strenuously denied any wrongdoing.

BNP duo cleared of race hate charges
The leader of the BNP and a party activist have been found not guilty of inciting racial hatred. Nick Griffin, 47, was found not guilty of using words or behaviour intended to incite racial hatred. The BNP's had of publicity Mark Collett, 26, was cleared on similar charges.
