Teenagers Killed In Wakefield Double Murder

Police have revealed that the two females found dead in a flat in West Yorkshire were both teenagers and had been stabbed.

The bodies of Samantha Sykes, 18, and Kimberly Frank, 17, were discovered in a flat in Barden Road, Eastmoor after police received a tip-off from another 19-year-old woman in Dover.

Two people, a 19-year-old woman and 23-year-old man, arrested by police have been released without charge with a third 19-year-old man remaining in custody. Kent police in Dover made the arrests, about 250 miles from the incident.

In a statement Kent police said: "The 19-year-old woman raised concerns for the safety of two further women in West Yorkshire. Acting on that information, police in West Yorkshire found the bodies of two women at a property in Wakefield."

Post-mortem examinations were carried out on Sunday night and revealed the teenagers died as a result of stab wounds.
