Stapleton Admits Killing Indian Student

A man has admitted killing Indian student Anuj Bidve.

Kiaran Stapleton, 21, from Salford, denied murdering the student, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter at Manchester Crown Court.

Mr Bidve, 23, was shot in the head on 26th December 2011.

Stapleton has been set a trial date for 25 June.

Man pleads guilty to stabbing student
A man who stabbed a student to death on a train has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Thomas Lee Wood, 22, from Skelmersdale in Lancashire admitted killing first-year student Thomas Grant, 19, from Glouestershire who had been attending St Andrews University.

According to a report by the BBC, Hussein was jailed for life, with a minimum term of 20 years.

Police investigate link to Amelie murder
Police are investigating a possible link between a horrific hit-and-run attack on a teenage girl and the murder of French student Amelie Delagrange. Kate Sheedy was run over by a white car, which then reversed over her in Isleworth, west London, on May 28 last year.

Hitmen jailed for killing student
Two more men have been jailed for life for the murder of a Somali student in London two years ago. Galal Hamza, 25, was shot dead in the street in Earl's Court, west London, in April 2004 in an apparently motiveless attack. Daniel Turvey, 22, from Fulham, south-west London, was jailed for the murder last year.
