Wimbledon Hawk Found

The Wimbledon hawk used to frightened pigeons from the tennis tournament has been found after he was stolen from a car in south-west London.

Rufus the pigeon-scaring hawk went missing three days ago from Dunstall Road. His abandoned travel box was found on Friday morning.

A man called Martin Underwood, the manufacturer of the stolen box, telling him: "I think I've found something that belongs to you."

Martin advised the caller to hand the box in to the police or the RSPCA.

His owner, Imogen Davis, 25, tweeted: "Rufus is healthy and well... We are SO excited/happy/relieved."

She later added: "We have Rufus back, safe and well. We are ecstatic and so, so overwhelmed with all the lovely messages and help we have received."
