Woman Lured Men Into Killing Her Husband
A 45-year-old woman who promised sex to two men if they murdered her husband has been jailed for life.
Clifford Collinge, 61, died in October 2011 after suffering 46 injuries.
His wife Charlotte Collinge was jailed for 23 years at Nottingham Crown Court.
Steven Shreeves, 40, and Kelvin Dale, 27, both of Market Warsop, were each jailed for 18 years.
Mr Collinge was killed inside his own home in Market Warsop, Nottinghamshire in what the judge called a "truly shocking offence".
When sentencing, Mr Justice Colman Treacy said: "On the evidence I have heard, I'm satisfied Clifford Collinge was a man who offered no harm to any of you and who indeed had, over a number of years, tolerated the willful and manipulative behaviour of an unfaithful wife."
The court heard the couple, who had been together for 17 years, had a difficult on-off relationship.
Charlotte Collinge met Shreeves and Dale at a local bar and lured them back to her home, offering them sex if they killed her husband.
Shreeves and Dale snorted cocaine and drank beer in the bar before the killing, the jury heard.
Mr Collinge, a former newsagent, was attacked with a metal clamp and suffered a head injury, fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.
He was found at home lying in a pool of blood.
Robert Proud, 36, from Greendale Close, Warsop, was found not guilty of murder.

Robert and Jonathan Maskell, both 19, and their sister's boyfriend, nineteen-year-old Dwane Johnston, were convicted last month of the manslaughter of 74-year-old Anjelica Hallwood at her home in Edmonton, north London in January 2005.
