Heathrow Hotel Killer Who Hid Inside Bed Jailed For Life

A Heathrow Airport hotel receptionist who hid in a bed for two days after murdering two colleagues has been jailed for life.

32-year-old Attila Ban was found guilty of stabbing Tibor Vass and Alice Adams in the Radisson Edwardian Hotel's staff accommodation last August.

It is understood Ban had developed a crush on Tibor Vass and was devastated when Mr Vass told him he was moving back home to Hungary.

Following the discovery of the two bodies Ban evaded police and a pathologist by hiding inside the divan bed on which Mr Vass's body was lying.

The court heard that Ban crawled out from the bed and cut his wrists and neck in an unsuccessful suicide bid before he was found.

Ban denied murder but admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

He was sentenced to at least 26 years.
