Boyle In Court Over Mirror Article
Comedian Frankie Boyle is suing the Mirror newspaper for libel, over an article which labelled him racist.
He is complaining about a story published on 19 July 2011, saying he was in talks for a new Channel 4 show.
The first sentence read: "RACIST comedian Frankie Boyle could soon be returning to TV despite upsetting thousands of viewers".
The Mirror said it will defend itself "on the basis of truth and fair comment".
The trial, which is taking place at the High Court in London, is expected to last a week.
Wreckage Found In Search For Missing Yachtswoman
Coastguards have found what they think is wreckage of a yacht in the search for a missing 65-year-old yachtswoman.
The wreckage found at Sennen Cove came during an air and sea search off the north Cornwall coast for Mary Unwin.
She has been missing since she set sail from Mousehole, in Cornwall, on Saturday evening for her home in Bideford in north Devon.
She bought the £32,000 Seagair in Falmouth last Thursday.
And despite being advised by the sellers Falmouth Yacht Brokers not to make the trip on her own she left Falmouth on her own in the yacht on Friday without collecting the paperwork.
Relatives in Bideford raised the alarm on Sunday. Coastguards said the wreckage was being analysed.
Spring Boost For Household Income
Average UK household income rose by £69 from April to June when the effects of inflation are stripped out, official statistics show.
Average real income in the second quarter of the year stood at £4,510 per household after tax, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.
This was up 1.6% from the previous quarter, and 2.8% higher including inflation.
It was also the highest level of income for 18 months, the ONS said.
However, it was still £137 less per household than was recorded in the same three months of 2009.
