Man Arrested For Burning Poppy Image
A man has been arrested by officers in Kent after a picture of burning poppy was posted on a social networking site.
In a short press release posted on its website police said that the man, from Aylesham, had been arrested on suspicion of "malicious telecommunications".
"This follows a posting on a social network site of a burning poppy," said the statement on Sunday, which added that he was in police custody awaiting interview. Police provided no other details of the incident, which comes as the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is preparing to release interim guidelines for prosecution of offences on social media.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Police investigating alleged death threats against the Prime Minister have arrested a man in Blackburn. It is believed the threats to kill Gordon Brown were posted on an Islamic website. A 19-year-old man is being held under the Terrorism Act, after a joint swoop by Lancashire Police and the Greater Manchester Police Counter Terrorism Unit.

Man Arrested For Encouraging Internet Fight
A 21-year-old man from Crawley is being questioned by police following footage of two young boys fighting was posted on social networking site YouTube. A Sussex Police spokesman said the suspect was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting an assault.
