Man Arrested As Part Of Savile Operation Yewtree

A man in his 60s has been arrested as part of the Jimmy Savile Operation Yewtree.

The man, from London, is being questioned at a south London police station, following his arrest at 06.45am, on suspicion of sexual offences, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The arrest is not connected to the allegations made against the late BBC presenter.

A total of 30 officers are working on the operation.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

A 70-year-old man arrested by Surrey Police as part of an investigation into allegations of historical sexual abuse is understood to be former music industry figure, Jonathan King. Officers from Operation Ravine arrested Mr King in London alongside a 77-year-old man and an 86-year-old man.

A 65-year-old man has been arrested in London as part of Operation Yewtree; the investigation into sexual abuse established in the wake of revelations regarding the late broadcaster, Jimmy Saville. The Metropolitan police have said the man was detained at an address in south London on suspicion of sexual offences.
