Queen Attends Cabinet Meeting At Number 10

The Queen has become the first monarch since 1781 to attend a cabinet meeting in Downing Street.

Prime Minister David Cameron greeted her at Number 10, and she sat around the Cabinet table as discussions took place about Government's business.

Cabinet ministers stood around the table while the Queen was shown into the room by Mr Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.

Release Of Bush Blair Memos Vetoed
The public disclosure of a number of secret memos between former Prime Minister Blair and ex US President Bush, sent during the run up to the Iraq invasion, has been blocked. The potentially politically volatile memos were determined to be made public as part of the ongoing Chilcot Inquiry into the war by the inquiry chairman, Sir John Chilcot.
