BAA Airport Rebranded

Aberdeen Airport has rebranded as Aberdeen International.

The move comes as parent company BAA, who also run Heathrow, Stansted, Southampton and Glasgow airport, allow its individual airports to operate more independently.

The new title is set to allow for the expansion of its roster of destinations.

Airport managing director Derek Provan said: "This is an exciting time for the airport and for our customers.

"We have been successful in recent years in introducing new international routes to Aberdeen, and will continue to strive to do so."
