Man 'Left For Dead' Following Knife Attack

A 59-year-old man has been stabbed repeatedly outside his house as two men demanded his car keys.

The attack happened just before 10.00 on Sunday morning as the, as-yet-unnamed victim came out of his house in Worcester Avenue in Hindley, Wigan.

It is understood the two men approached the victim on his doorstep and stabbed him multiple times before demanding his car keys.

They ran off along Worcester Avenue without the car keys.

The victim is receiving treatment in hospital for stab wounds and his condition is described as very serious.

Man Assaulted And Bentley Stolen
Three men threatened a man with a gun and assaulted him in order to steal his Bentley in Wigan, police say. At around 6.30pm on Wednesday, a woman at home noticed three men acting suspiciously at a bus stop on Preston Road, near to the junction with Pepper Lane.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder In Kent
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Kent. At around 7.15pm on Tuesday (19 May), police were called to a property in Hectorage Road, Tonbridge. Two men, aged 34 and 54, had sustained injuries which police believed to be knife wounds. The 54-year-old victim died at the scene. The 34-year-old was taken to hospital.

Rapist's Third Victim Recognised Attacker On Facebook
A 28-year-old man has been jailed for life for rape after one of his victims recognised his picture on Facebook. Shaun Hopkins was already serving a life jail term for the rape of two women in Liverpool, when a third victim came forward, according to a report by the BBC.
