Prison Officer To Face Charge Over Sale Of Information To The Sun
A prison officer is to be charged in connection with passing information to the Sun newspaper for a payment of £3,350.
Facing a charge of misconduct in public office, Richard Trunkfield, who worked at HMP Woodhill, in Milton Keynes, allegedly passed information on a “high-profile” to the newspaper.
The charge follows an investigation carried out by Operation Elveden.
No date has been set for his appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Forumla 1 Boss To Face Bribery Charge
Bernie Ecclestone, the boss of Formula 1, is to face charges of bribery following a ruling by a court in Munich. Ecclestone is accused of attempting to bribe a German banker by giving him $45 million (£27.5m). The banker, Gerhard Gribkowsky, is currently serving a jail sentence for accepting the payment.

£37m Funding Boost For Electric Car Charging Points
A £37m funding boost is designed to improve the provision of charging points for electric vehicles in England, the government has announced. Announcing the funding Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin said ministers were committed to ensuring that the UK was a "world leader in the electric car industry".
