High Court Ban Qatada Protests
Protests being held within 500 metres of the home of radical Islamist cleric Abu Qatada, but groups like the Englaish Defence League, have been banned by a high court judge.
Issued on Monday, Mr Justice Silber said the injunction was necessary because the weekly protests had terrified the cleric's family, particularly his children, the youngest of whom is aged 11.
Once described by a Spanish judge as Osama bin Laden's right-hand man in Europe, Qatada is currently out on bail under a 16-hour daily curfew.
The home secretary, Theresa May, is appealing against a ruling by British judges that he cannot be sent back to Jordan while there is a risk he faces a trial based on evidence obtained through torture.

A judge reviewing the decision to deport Jordanian terror suspect Abu Qatada has said his links to an alleged bomb plot look to be "extremely thin". The judge said the "only evidence" of a link was that Abu Qatada had paid $5,000 (£3,100) for a computer.

Abu Qatada To Be Released From Jail
Extremist preacher Abu Qatada is set to be released from Long Lartin prison. Last week the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled that the cleric, who has been detained in the high security jail for six years, could be released. Abu Qatada, 51, faces terror charges in Jordan but the ECHR has blocked his deportation.

Bakri Mohammed barred from the UK
Radical Muslim cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed will not be allowed to return to Britain, the Home Office has announced. Bakri Mohammed left the UK last week and went to Lebanon allegedly on holiday to visit his mother. He said that he planned to return to the UK, where he has lived for twenty years, after seeking political asylum in the mid-Eighties.

Man Extradited From Morocco To Face Four Murder Charges
A 54-year-old man has been extradited from Morocco to appear in court charged with the murders of a family of four at their home in Northampton. Jifeng and Helen Ding and their two daughters, 18-year-old Xing and Alice, 12, were stabbed at their home in Wootton in April 2011.

Rehabbed Gascoigne Misses Sentencing
Ex-World Cup star Paul Gascoigne, 43, has missed his court appearance to be sentenced for drink-driving. The former footballer failed to show because he is in rehab. Last month he admitted driving while being four times over the limit and was due before Newcastle Magistrates' Court.
