Red Card Reported To 999

A football fan rang 999 to reveal his disgust at a red card during last night's Champions League match.

Nottinghamshire Police said the hoax call occurred while a Manchester United supporter was watching his team play Real Madrid.

He said he felt that Nani's controversial sending-off for a high challenge was a crime.

The fan,18, from a village near Bingham, has apologised.
