Cowhide Hair Found In Frozen Mince
Iceland has apologised after a girl found a clump of cowhide hair in a home-cooked lasagne made with a packet of their frozen beef mince.
ITV reports that Trudy Stock, of Gosport, Hampshire, served her daughter, Shani, 7, the dish when she came across the object in her food.
"It's completely traumatised her now. She was in buckets of tears. She was enjoying it until she found that and burst out crying,"she commented.
The supermarket said: "Iceland has apologised to the customer and offered a gesture of goodwill and we will carry out an investigation with our supplier to determine how it happened."
The 29-year-old received £30 in vouchers as an apology.

Police Appeal For Help Identifying Man Found Dead In Kayak
Police on the Isle of Wight are trying to identify a man found dead in a kayak earlier this month. The man's body was found at Yaverland Beach, Sandown, at about 19:20 on Friday, 11 September. It is understood that he was last seen alive in Newhaven, Sussex.

An investigation has launched into a fatal house fire in Bottesford in Leicestershire. Emergency services were called out to reports of a house fire in Grantham Road at about 13.50 on Sunday. Firefighters subsequently found a body inside the building.

A woman found dead at a property in Huyton in Liverpool on Wednesday has been identified as being 45-year-old Michelle Teare. At about 12.50pm, emergency services were called to a property on Ashbury Road following the discovery of a body inside a property. Emergency services attended and found the body of Michelle Teare.

Police in Liverpool have appealed for witnesses after a man was chased down and shot in the back on Tuesday night. Merseyside Police say that the 30-year-old man had just left his home in Maberley View, Wavertree, with his partner and 18-month-old child, when he was confronted by a lone gunman.
