Corrie Actor In Court For 19 Child Sex Charges
Actor Michael Turner, known as Michael Le Vell, has appeared in court to be charged with 19 sexual offences against a child.
At Manchester Crown Court the 48-year-old Coronation Street star spoke only to confirm his details.
It is understood the offences allegedly took place between 2001 and 2010 and include six charges of rape, six of indecent assault and seven of sexual touching.
The actor, who plays Kevin Webster in the ITV soap, was bailed to reappear at the court on 17 May.
Mr Le Vell, of Hale in Trafford, did not enter a plea.

Greater Manchester Police have arrested a man on suspicion of tweeting the identity of the woman accusing Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell of rape. It is understood the man was arrested in the Gloucester area and is 43-years-old. He is alleged to have tweeted about the ongoing trial of the actor, revealing the identity of his accuser.
