Woman Missing After House Collapse In Cornwall
A 60-year-old woman is missing after a house in Cornwall has collapsed following a landslide caused by torrential overnight rain.
Emergency crews were called to Veronica Flats at Sandplace Road, Looe, just before 06:00 on Friday morning. Sniffer dogs have been sent into the house, which has been converted into flats.
Devon and Cornwall Police said Susan Norman, aged in her 60s, who lives in one of the flats, was unaccounted for.
Six properties have been evacuated while engineers assess the stability of the buildings and the ground.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a man's body in a block of flats in Newquay in Cornwall. Police were called to a flat in Tower Road in the town around 9:40pm on Tuesday night, following reports of a stabbing from an ambulance crew. Officers found the body of a 21-year-old man in the flat.

The body of a teenage boy found in the sea at the north Cornwall resort of Polzeath on Tuesday as been identified as George Frewer. The 17-year-old's body was found on Tuesday morning.

Deepcut investigation criticised in new report
The Surrey Police investigation into the deaths of recruits at the Deepcut army barracks has been criticised by another police force. Devon and Cornwall Police’s report into the deaths for four recruits at the barracks concluded that Surrey Police narrowed the focus of the inquiry by concentrating too much on suicide as the most likely outcome.

Fall in house prices reported in January
House prices in the UK fell by 0.1% in January, figures released by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) have revealed. The report showed that the price of detached houses fell by 0.5% while semi-detached house prices also fell by 0.1%. However, the price of terraced houses and flats rose slightly, each by 0.3%.

Man Arrested Over Snurridge House Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed in the neck at a luxury manor house in North Devon. The 20-year-old victim was taken to hospital following the incident, which happened around 3am on Sunday, but died later. A 66-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
