Young Actor Cleared Of Rape Charge

An unnamed young television actor has been cleared of raping a 14-year-old boy.

The actor, who cannot be identified because of his age, allegedly bullied the victim, with the prosecution claiming he attacked his victim ‘to prove to his girlfriend that he was bisexual’, Blackfriars Crown Court heard.

However, the defendant claimed their sexual activity was consensual.

He was charged with three counts of sexual assault and one of oral rape, but following almost five hours of deliberation, he was cleared of the charge by a jury.

It is understood that while giving evidence at the trial the complainant, who was 14 at the time of the alleged incidents, collapsed in the witness box last Monday.
