Cameron Backs Porn Free 'Clean Wi-Fi' In Public Spaces
Following a campaign by a number of children’s charities, David Cameron has vowed to promote "good, clean, wi-fi" in public spaces.
The charities want sites with adult content restricted in public areas with wi-fi internet access, and Mr Cameron told the Telegraph he wanted people to "have confidence in public wi-fi systems so that they are not going to see things they shouldn't".
Government officials have been in discussion with wi-fi providers about filtering adult content by default on the services they provide directly to the public.
A Downing Street spokesman said discussions were "ongoing" with companies and no decision had been taken about new rules or a code of conduct.

Government launches consultation on smoking proposals
The government is to begin consultation on proposals to ban smoking in most public places in England. The government hopes that the consultation will lead to a Bill being introduced in the autumn. The ‘Choosing Health’ Public Health White Paper published last November, unveiled proposals to ban smoking in all enclosed public spaces and workplaces.

The City of London Corporation has unveiled plans to install a "dense and comprehensive" WiFi internet network throughout London’s Square Mile. The City Corporation has entered into a partnership deal with WiFi network operator The Cloud who will install and manage the network.
