Family Fear Over Missing Teen
The family of a missing Polish teenager who has gone missing in Birmingham is said to be fearing for his safety.
Nineteen-year-old Mateusz Wojnowski was last seen just after 13:00 outside Big John's chippie in Perry Barr on Sunday (5 May).
Police say he may have been running and was possibly bleeding from his hand.
Mateusz is described as white, 6ft 3ins tall, with a stocky build and clean shaven, he has blond short hair, blue eyes and freckles. He also has a scar on his face and was wearing grey jogging bottoms with a multi coloured coat.
Inspector Bill Dagnan, from Birmingham Police, said: "We think there is a possibility that Mateusz may have travelled to London, although it is also likely that he is still in the locality.
"We are very concerned for his welfare and his family are urging him to get in touch to let them know that he is alright."
Anyone who thinks they may have seen Mateusz should contact police on 101 or alternatively information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Aberdeen Car Crime Crackdown A 'Success'
A police car crime crackdown in Aberdeen has been hailed a success following news that 51 people have been charged with the theft of vehicles.
Over half of all cars stolen in the city over the last six months were taken from homes which were left unlocked or the keys left in the ignition of the vehicle.
Four people were arrested over last weekend alone, while three cars in Aberdeen and another in Aberdeenshire were also recovered.
The operation, which was launched in December 2012, involves uniformed, plain clothes and roads policing officers.
Detective Chief Inspector David Hadden, Aberdeen City Division, said: "We've undertaken a lot of work to detect this type of crime and had considerable successes, charging more than 50 people over the course of the operation."
Men Arrested Over Clapton Murder
Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Clapton, London.
Detectives have formally identified the victim as James Sweeney, 30, who was a shop worker originally from Montserrat.
A post-mortem examination at Poplar mortuary gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.
The incident began when police were called at 21:10 on Saturday, 4 May to a flat in Lea View House, Jessam Avenue to reports of an injured man.
Mr Sweeney was found suffering from stab wounds was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are aware that an argument took place outside the address at approx 16:00hrs between three men.
Four-Year-Old In 'Critical' Condition
A four-year-old girl is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Longsight, inner Manchester on Monday.
The girl was crossing Rushford Street at around 19:00 when a silver Toyota Yaris collided with her.
She suffered serious head injuries in the collision and was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical, but stable, condition.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Serious Collision Reconstruction Unit on 0161 856 4742.

Two more arrested over attempted car bombings
Police investigating the attempted car bombings in London and Glasgow airport have arrested two more people. Two men, aged 28 and 25, were arrested in the Paisley area, west of Glasgow on Sunday night Five people are still being held in connection with the attacks, but it is believed that at least one suspect remains on the run.

Police Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Aberdeen Crash
Police in Aberdeen have reported the death of a 26-year-old man in a car crash on the A956 Charleston flyover. The man died when a Vauxhall Corsa, that he was a passenger in, collided with a Ford focus at about 18:00 on Tuesday. A woman and four-year-old boy were also injured in the crash. The woman has been described as in a serious condition.
