Air Ambulance Diverted Because Of BBQ Smoke
An air ambulance had to be diverted because smoke from a barbecue was obscuring the landing pad.
The helicopter was carrying a patient to Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban at around 21:00 last Thursday.
However, smoke from a barbecue being used by doctors meant the flight was diverted to Oban airport, seven miles away and the patient was driven back.
Reports confirm that the patient transfer was a non-emergency.
