January Trial Date For Actor Bill Roache
January 13 has been set as the trial date for Coronation Street actor Bill Roache.
81-year-old Roache faces 7 charges of historical sexual abuse, including two counts of rape against a 15-year-old and five counts of indecent assault against four girls aged between 11 and 16.
The Guardian reported that at Preston crown court this morning, Roache spoke to confirm his name. He is return to court again on 02 September to enter an official plea.

William Roache has been charged with five counts of indecent assault against four girls aged between 12 and 16 during the 1960s. This is in addition to two previous charges brought in May of raping a 15-year-old girl in 1967.

Suspended sentence for student voyeur
A student who secretly filmed women in the bathroom at his university halls of residence has been given a suspended sentence. Charles Greaves, 19, from Wellington, Shropshire, pleaded guilty to three counts of installing equipment to gain images for sexual gratification, as well as three counts of viewing images for sexual gratification.
