Severed Deer Head Left At Supermarket Self-Service Till

An investigation has begun after a deer's severed head was left at a self-service checkout in a Tesco store in Essex, police have said.

The innards of the animal were also left in an isle of the supermarket on Radwinter Road in Saffron Walden.

The incident occurred on 04 June at around 01:20 in the morning.

According to the BBC, Tesco have been unable to say if the head was left by a group of people or a single individual, the circumstances around how and why it was left there or how many people where in the store at the time.

It is also not known if there is any CCTV footage of the incident.

Essex police have appealed for anyone with information or any witnesses to come forward.

Man Injured After Wall Collapses On Top Of Car
A man in his 60's has been injured after the wall of a house collapsed on top of his car in Birmingham. The incident occurred in Richmond Hill, Oldbury, at approximately 5.30pm on 27 May. The second storey wall of a neighbouring house collapsed on top of the vehicle while the man was inside. Emergency services attended the scene.

Woman Denies Causing The Death Of Her Sister
A woman from Bridlington has pleaded not guilty to causing the death of her sister in a car collision. Rosie-Ann Stone, 20, to a charge of causing the death of Jennie Stone by careless driving at Hull Crown Court today. Stone was prosecuted after her sister's car struck a tree on the A165. She died of fatal head injuries.

Suspended Sentence For Man Who Left Pigs Head At Muslim Centre
A man who left a severed pig’s head outside a Muslim community centre on Boxing Day has avoided jail. 24-year-old Liam Ferrar received a 12-week sentence, which was suspended for a year. The court heard that Mr Ferrar was disgusted by his actions and had written a letter of apology to his victims.

Man Dies After Fall From Eastbourne Pier
Essex Police have reported the death of a man who fell from Eastbourne Pier, while carrying out construction work. It is understood that a 44-year-old man from Cumbria was working on the recently fire-damaged pier when he fell to the beach below on Tuesday afternoon.

11-Year-Old Shot In The Head With Pellet Gun
An 11-year-old boy has been shot in the head during an under-12s football match in Chester-le-Street, Co Durham, on Saturday. The boy, named as Connor Minto, was left with a pellet lodged above his left eye after he was shot with what police believe to have been an air rifle.
