Jeremy Forrest Jailed For Five And A Half Years

The maths teacher who took a 15-year-old pupil he was having a sexual relationship with to France, has been jailed for five and a half years.

30-year-old Jeremy Forrest was convicted of child abduction at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday.

The married teacher offered no evidence during his eight-day trial, according to the BBC.

He was also banned from teaching for life.

Newport Steel Plant Reopens After Two-And-A-Half Years

It is understood that production will resume at the plant with the 150 steel workers, laid off in 2013, returning to work. Ex-Broadcaster Stuart Hall has been jailed for a further two and a half years for indecently assaulting an underage girl. Hall, 84, admitted carrying out an attack at Preston Crown Court. He was found guilty of assaulting her when she was under 16.

Two And A Half Years For Attack On Taxi Driver
A man has been jailed for two-and-a-half years for an attack on a taxi driver, who was headbutten and bitten. 43-year-old James Pilgrim, of Newgate Road in Hastings, admitted causing actual bodily harm at a previous hearing before magistrates in the town.
