Earls Court Redevelopment Plans Approved

The demolition of the Earls Court Exhibition Centre and two neighbouring estates has been approved by the Mayor.

The demolition is part of a 77-acre redevelopment of Earls Court and West Kensington, which will see the creation of four "villages" alongside a "high street".

It is said that the redevelopment will create 7,500 new homes and thousands of permanent jobs.

Critics of the scheme though have said that the destruction of Earls Court will hurt trade, adding that the building should be listed.
