Man Dies After Police Taser Use
A man has died in Manchester after being shot by a Taser gun by police.
According to the police, the 23-year-old man suffered "a medical episode" after he was shot with the Taser stun gun on Wednesday evening at around 8.15pm.
It is understood that paramedics tried to resuscitate the man at the scene before moving him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The incident has been referred to Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

A man, who was spotted carrying a handgun at Gatwick Airport on Wednesday, has been shot with a Taser by police. The suspect, thought to be in his 40s and from Crawley, boarded a bus from the town, and a passenger raised the alarm after seeing him with the weapon.

A 61-year-old blind man has been Tasered by police who mistook his white stick for a sword. Colin Farmer was stunned by police following reports of a man walking through Chorley with a samurai sword. Ch Supt Stuart Williams, of Lancashire Police, said the force had "deep regrets" and had "clearly put this man through a traumatic experience".

The Taser was used to suppress the man who is reported to have been also threatening to stab himself at the Royal Preston Hospital on Tuesday night. A 37-year-old man had been arrested on a public order offence and is to be questioned.
