Police Extend 'Dangerous' Man Hunt Nationwide
Police have put airports and ports on alert as the hunt for a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 66-year-old man in Hertfordshire on Saturday.
55-year-old John McLoughlin has been described as "dangerous" and is wanted in connection with the death of Graham Buck, who was killed after he intervened in a robbery at a neighbours house.
McLoughlin, a convicted murderer, was in the 22nd year of a 25-year sentence and on day release from HMP Spring Hill at the time Mr Buck was killed.
He is wanted in connection with the death of Mr Buck and the robbery of several thousand pounds.
The search for him has gone nationwide, with ports authorities, police forces, airports across the country all being notified and put on alert".
Mr McLoughlin is known to be a heavy drinker and police have appealed to owners of guest houses, hoteliers and pubs to be "vigilant".

Police Issue E-fit Of A Man Wanted In Connection With Colchester Murder
Detectives investigating the murder of a Saudi Arabian student have issued an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation. Nahid Almanea was stabbed 16 times and was found dead on the Salary Brook Trail in Colchester, Essex, at around 10.40am on 17th June.
