Weapon Found In Fatal Shooting Investigation
Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of 27-year-old man in Dublin yesterday have found a firearm they believe was used in the killing.
The victim was named as father-of-three Michael Kelly, of St Teresa's Gardens.
His body was found by walkers at around 10:30 on ground by a popular walking route at the junction of Suir Road and Davitt Road.
It is believed that the shooter made their getaway in metallic grey/lilac four-door Opel Astra, which was found burnt out a short time after the incident.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information or who may have been in the area between 10am and 11am to contact the incident room at Kilmainham Garda Station on 01-6669700, the Garda Confidential Line 1800666111 or any garda station.
The gunman is described as 5'10"-6' and wearing a blue hoodie with white shoulders.
