'The Sun' Executive Editor Denies Corruption Charges
The executive editor of The Sun newspaper has denied charges that he conspired to commit misconduct in public office.
It is alleged that Fergus Shanahan authorised payments to public officials in exchange for stories.
At an Old Bailey hearing on Monday, Shanahan pleaded not guilty in connection to payments made by the paper 1 January 2004 and 31 January 2012.
24 journalists from the Sun has been arrested so far in the investigation into alleged corruption. 10 have been charged and 7 have been arraigned, all of which have pleaded not guilty.

The Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed Fergus Shanahan, executive editor at the Sun, has been charged with conspiring to commit misconduct in public office. It is alleged that Shanahan authorised a journalists to make two payments totalling £7,000 to a public official for information, at a time August 2006 and August 2007.

Two Police And Journalist Arrested By Operation Elveden
Three people have been arrested as part of the investigation into inappropriate payments made to police and public officials. It is understood that two serving police officers and a journalist were arrested at their homes in Hertfordshire and Surrey by officers from Operation Elveden.

French Court Postpones Extradition Decision
Magistrates in France have today postponed a decision on the extradition of Robert Williams, to the UK, after he was found with a teenage girl from Lincolnshire. Fifteen-year-old Laura Stainforth, was discovered in France last week with Mr Williams after going missing from her home.
