Man Hit By Bus Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder, after he was hit by a bus in Oldham.

At around 7pm on Monday police responded to a call that a man had been hit by a bus in Henshaw Street.

A short time later, police then attended Royal Oldham Hospital following a report that a woman had been admitted with stab wounds.

An initial investigation led to the arrests of a man and woman on suspicion of the stabbing. However, police now believe that the man hit by the bus is connected to the stabbing incident and have arrested him.

The man and woman have since been "de-arrested", which leaves no record of the arrests on file.

Both the arrested man and the female victim have been described as being in stable conditions.
