2-Year-Old Leaves Nursery Unnoticed And Walks Home

Police in Runcorn have confirmed that a two-year-old girl left a nursery unnoticed and walked the half a mile to her home.

It is understood that the girl left Windmill Hill Nursery at around 13:00 via a door left open by a workman. She then walked through a wooded area, which run not far from a canal, before knocking on her own front door.

The girls family have called for sacking at the nursery.

The incident was reported by the parent to police, who have informed the council.

Pub Delivery Drivers Announce Strike Action

Delivery drivers for the pub trade have announced strike action in a dispute over jobs and conditions.

The Unite unions member, who work for Kuehne and Nagel Drinks Logistics (KNDL), will hold a one-day strike next Wednesday following a ban on overtime at the firm.

It is understood that up to 30,000 bars and other establishments could be affected by the strike action.

Illegal Porn Haul Seized

Over 100,00 unclassified pornographic DVD and magazines have been seized in south London.

Inspectors carried out four raids on two suppliers in Merton and Wandsworth.

Restricted 18 DVDs were found amongst the haul, which can only legally be sold in sex shops.

It is understood that all the items were due to be sold in Westminster newsagents, said Westminster City Council.
