Mother Denies Manslaughter Of Son Found Starved To Death
A 43-year-old woman has been charged with the manslaughter of her son, whose body was found in his cot almost two years after he had died.
The mummified body of Hamzah Khan was found at his family home in Bradford, West Yorkshire in September 2011, having laid in a cot in his mother's bedroom for 21 months after his death.
It is understood that Hamzah had starved to death in December 2009, aged four and half.
His mother, Amanda Hutton, denies the manslaughter of her son.
The trial of Ms Hutton began yesterday at Bradford Crown Court.

A mother found the body of her son at the side of the road after he had been killed in a hit-and-run while cycling. Lynne Osborn went out to look for her 27-year-old son after he failed to return from work on Friday. Timothy Osborn was found by the side of the A151 Bourne Road in Spalding at 00:15am on Saturday.

Mother Admits Manslaughter Of 11-Year-Old Son
A mother of an 11-year-old boy who was found drowned at their home, has admitted unlawfully killing him. The body of James Taylor was discovered by officers who were called to the house in Knights Croft, New Ash Green, near Dartford in Kent on 2 December last year.

A 33-year-old woman has been found guilty of the murder of her 7-year-old son. A court heard that Sara Ege beat her seven-year-old son "like a dog" when he failed to memorise passages of the Koran. 7-year-old Yaseen Ege was beaten to death at his home in Pontcanna, Cardiff, in July 2010. His mother then set fire to his body.
