Luggage Check-In Failure At Terminal 5

An "IT problem" is being blamed for passengers being unable to check in baggage at Heathrow's Terminal 5.

It is understood that it is British Airways passengers that have been affected and that long queues are building up at the terminal, although Heathrow have said passengers with hand luggage are unaffected.

Animal Print Ban To Avoid Confusing Animals

Chessington World of Adventures has banned animal print clothing, saying that it is "confusing" the animals.

The Surrey-based holiday resort has hired bouncers to enforce the ban.

It follows the launch of the park's latest attraction, its African experience Zufari, which allows guests to take an off-road "safari".

Former Bank Managers Claims To Break Blind Land Speed Record

The current blind land speed record has been broken by 4mph by former bank manager, Mike Newman.

Mr Newman claims to have beaten the previous record of 182mph set in 2010 by Turkish pop singer Metin Senturk.

The 52-year-old claims to recorded an average time of 186mph at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, in Leicestershire.

Mr Newman has said that he now intends to try and claim the blind water speed record, which would make him the first person to hold both records simultaneously.

Record fine imposed on FA over Turkey game
The English Football Association was today handed a record fine by UEFA and issued with a final warning on the future conduct of fans. UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body today found the FA guilty of the disciplinary charges and fined them €99,000 - the highest ever fine for a racism-related charge.

Record Fine Over 'High Pressure Tactics' Used By PPI Firm
A Swansea-based company has been fined more than £500,000 for using "high pressure tactics" to get customers to make PPI claims. The Claims Management Regulator (CMR) fined Rock Law Ltd £570,000 for coercing clients into signing contracts, without giving them enough time to understand the terms and conditions before taking unauthorised payments.

Insurers Detect Record Amount Of Fraudulent Claims
Insurers are detecting record levels of fraudulent insurance claims, 2,000 every week - worth £14 million - according to figures released today by the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
