French Firm To Create 1,000 New Jobs In Scotland

Up to 1,000 new jobs are to be created in Scotland by Paris-based contact centre, Teleperformance, increasing its Scottish workforce to around 4,000.

The customer service advisors, trainers and team manager jobs will be created in Airdrie, Erskine, Glasgow and Kilmarnock.

Glasgow will see 621 full time jobs, with the remaining 379 jobs being a mixture of full and part-time positions across the other sites.

Recruitment for the posts is underway and is expected to continue for several weeks.

News of the jobs was welcomed by First Minister Alex Salmond.

Pontin's To Create 2,000 New Jobs
Holiday camp chain Pontin's has announced it is to create 2,000 new jobs as it redevelops its holiday centres. Owners Ocean Parcs confirmed it will be investing £50 million in its six UK sites. The new posts will include catering, retail and bar staff as well as Blue Coats and will involve a mixture of full time, part time and seasonal positions.
