Merseyside Drug Producers Arrested
Merseyside Police have charged three men with the production of Class B drugs.
The arrests followed the execution of a warrant at an address in Dallas Grove, Aintree, on Tuesday.
Carl Moorcroft, 54, of Dallas Grove, Aintree, Dean Burrows, 29, of September Road, Anfield and Ashley Moorcroft, 24, of Merrilocks Road, Crosby, will appear at Liverpool City Magistrates Court today.
Appeal Over Attempted Abductions, Yorkshire
Yorkshire Police investigating an alleged attempted abduction in Halifax have released CCTV of a white van they want to trace.
At 19:10 on Tuesday 1 October a man approached two 13-year-old girls walking along Pellon Lane.
The man asked them to get into the van but did not make any physical attempt to make them do so.
Officers are looking to speak to a man in connection with the incident.
He is described as Asian, aged in his mid 20s and wearing a navy blue adidas beanie hat and a black tracksuit. He had stubble and a pierced lip.
Elderly Burglary Victim Presented With Hamper
A 93-year-old lady who was the victim of a distraction burglary in Nechells earlier this month has been presented with a hamper by officers and a local wholesalers.
The lady answered the door to a bogus caller at her home in Nechells who was claiming to look for a cat, while a second fraudster entered the back of the property and stole items, including a purse.
Officers contacted a local wholesaler in the area to organise a hamper to be presented to her at her home following the incident.
Her daughter accepted the hamper on behalf of the victim, whose spirits had been lifted thanks to the kindness of officers and the local business.
Police Investigate Herbal Incense Death
Greater Manchester Police are investigating the death of a man who died moments after smoking herbal incense.
The 38-year-old died after visiting a friend’s address in Bolton on Sunday 29 September 2013.
His cause of death has not yet been established, but it is known he smoked the incense, called Psyclone, which is not intended for direct inhalation, shortly before his death.
A number of other people who detectives have been spoken to as part of the investigation have also admitted to smoking the 'legal high'.

The release of a man convicted of killing three unarmed police officers in 1966 has been described as "sickening". Harry Roberts, now aged 78, has been released from prison after serving 48 years for 1966 murders of three unarmed police officers in Shepherd's Bush in west London.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.
