No Rape Charges To Be Brought Against Mick Philpott

Mick Philpott is not to face any charges over accusations of rape.

Philpott was jailed for life for the manslaughter of six of his children in a fire in Derby.

Following the conviction Derbyshire police said they were investigating allegations that Philpott had attacked two women.

However, police have now said that no further action will be taken due to a lack of evidence.

Philpott's wife, Mairead Philpott, was also convicted of manslaughter along with their friend, Paul Mosley. Both were told they would serve half of their 17-year sentences.
