Delivery Driver Killed Making Final Run

A man found stabbed to death in Sheffield on Sunday was making his final pizza delivery ahead of starting a new job, it has been revealed.

The body of 25-year-old Thavisha Lakindu Peiris was found by colleagues at the wheel of his car in Southey Crescent at 22:30 on Sunday night.

According to South Yorkshire Police, Mr Peiris was finishing his final shift as a pizza delivery driver having accepted a job as an IT consultant.

It is thought that Mr Peiries was attacked at random, the victim of a seemingly "motiveless" crime.

Police have said that they do not have any "positive leads in terms of who is responsible".
