Michael Gove Urges 'Radical" Reform Of Child Protection Systems

The child protection system in England needs to undergo a "systematic" and "radical" reform, education secretary Michael Gove has said.

According to Gove, many social workers are indoctrinated, seeing the people they help as victims of social injustice.

Adding that the attitude was pernicious, leading to excuses being made for poor behavious.

"I believe that we have not been either systematic, radical or determined enough in our efforts to reform the system of child protection in this country," Gove said while speaking at an RSPCC event.

Adding: "But that is changing. And it is my aim to ensure that change is equal to the challenge we all face."

NSPCC Calls Rise After Death Of Baby P
