Appeal Following Bradford Robbery
West Yorkshire Police has issued an appeal following a robbery at a betting shop in Manchester Road, Bradford.
At around 9.40pm on Thursday 5 December, a man walked into the shop and handed a note to a cashier which made demands for money. The man then poured petrol on the counter and pulled out a lighter, at which point, the cashier handed over £320 in cash and he left the shop.
No weapon was seen.
The man is described by police as white, about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black coat which was torn on the right bicep and he had the hood up. He was also wearing a grey scarf, which he used to cover his face, light blue jeans and thick-rimmed glasses.
He is thought to have left the shop and headed in the direction of the city centre.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Motorcyclist Named Following Fatal Crash
Police have released the name of a motorcyclist who died following a collision with a car in Leyland last month.
The accident, which happened on Thursday 14 November, occurred between the motorcycle and a purple Citroen Picasso around 2.35pm on Leyland Way, at its junction with Bow Brook Road.
The victim, who has now been named as 59-year-old David Leech, suffered a fractured hip and leg in the accident. He was being treated at Royal Preston Hospital before being transferred to Wigan Hospital two weeks later. He was successfully operated on but developed complications after the operation. He died on 27 November 2013.
Sergeant Steve Wignall from Lancashire Constabulary's Force Road Policing Unit said: "Our investigation into this collision is continuing but we still need any witnesses to this collision to contact Lancashire Police on 101."
School Evacuated After Bus Catches Fire
Pupils at Thomas Hardye School in Dorcester had to be evacuated after a fire broke out on a bus.
The fire, which happened outside the school, occurred on Friday morning around 8.40am before lessons started.
Students were evacuated from one of the school blocks.
No injuries were reported but a few children complained of minor smoke inhalation.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was due to the vehicle's overheated brakes. Sparks were seen underneath the vehicle before the fire broke out. No pupils were on board at the time.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.

Renewed Appeal In 1995 School Teacher Murder Investigation
A fresh appeal for information has been issued 20 years after the murder of a Walthamstow school teacher. Joy Hewer was sexually assaulted and stabbed in an attack at her flat in Walthamstow on Tuesday, 17 October 1995. No one has ever been charged with her murder.
