Govt Announce Welfare Restrictions For Migrants
Government ministers have announced a number of measures to "prevent exploitation" of the UKs welfare system.
According to a report by the BBC, migrants coming from within the European Union will only be allowed to claim jobseeker's benefit for six months, with those migrants remaining jobless also being denied housing benefit.
The announcements follow the lifting of restrictions on Bulgarians and Romanians coming to the UK to work.
Home Secretary Theresa May and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith said that migrants could no loner expect "something for nothing".
