Two Women Due In Court Over Syrian-Related Terrorism Charges

Two women have been charged in connection with supplying money for terrorist activity in Syria.

27-year-old Amai Elwahabi was arrested at Heathrow as she tried to board a flight to Turkey last Thursday, while 26-year-old Nawal Msaad was arrested later that day at an address in north-west London.

It is alleged that the women had made money available to another, knowing or suspecting that it would be used for the purposes of terrorism.

The women are due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court today.
