Fugitive Priest Pleads Guilty To Abuse Charges
A Catholic priest who spent 20 years as a fugitive in Spain has pleaded guilty to 21 counts of indecent assault on seven children.
85-year-old Francis Paul Cullen has admitted abuse of both boys and girls, who were aged six to 16 at the time of the incidents, which date between 1957 and 1991.
The Dublin born priest was first arrested in 1991 but he skipped bail and fled to Tenerife, Spain.
According to a report by the BBC, the fugitive priest pleaded guilty to all counts at Derbyshire Crown Court.
He will be sentenced on 24 March.

Retired Church of England priest, Canon Gordon Rideout, has been jailed for 10 years after being found guilty of a catalogue of sexual abuse. The 74-year-old was found guilty of 34 charges of indecent assault and two of attempted rape. He abused 16 children over between 1962 and 1973.

A retired Anglican priest has been found guilty of sexual abuse. Canon Gordon Rideout, who is 74, was found guilty at Lewes Crown Court of abusing children in the 1960s and 70s, the BBC has said. He has been convicted of 36 separate sex offences against 16 different children.

The Metropolitan Police is to launch a misconduct investigation after a serving Chief Inspector pleaded guilty to drugs charges. On Thursday, 43-year-old Paul Cahill, appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of Class A drugs, one count each of possession of Class B and Class C drugs.
